The Video Library is the result of my research for The Weird World of Seventies Cinema and I've opened it up for folks who are looking for movies that have fallen between the cracks of cinema history. If you have anything from my wantlist or have a title you think I might dig, by all means gimme a holler and maybe we can set up a swap. If you don't have anything to offer for trade...

DVD-R? That means digital video disc recording. Most DVD players made after 1999 are DVD-R compatible, you can check this list to see if yours is. The discs are in the NTSC format and are region 1, so they'll be watchable on U.S. and Canadian players as well as region free multi system (NTSC/PAL) DVD players. There are no extras like fancy menus or commentary and such but theatrical trailers and other additions will be included where listed. Each disc is handsomely labeled and comes in a black plastic case with an easy-to-pop release hub. Most titles come with covers displaying full color ad art, otherwise a generic insert with film title is included. Any questions? Just ask.

[A] Excellent -- Sharp picture quality and clear audio.
[B] Very Good/Good -- Strong picture and audio, but with some loss.
[C] Good/Fair -- Soft picture quality that might include some glitches, but is overall watchable.
[D] Poor -- Fuzzy, glitchy, a bit of an eye sore. Only offered because no other print is available.

COTTON CANDY (Ron Howard's Cotton Candy) 1978 [B] Nice quality print of this cornball TV movie classic! Nerdlinger Charles Martin Smith starts a high school rock band full of oddballs and outcasts. Directed by Opie, um, excuse me, I mean Academy Award winning director Ron Howard. This print is from a 1981 prime time broadcast with all the original old school commercials including Orson Welles hawking Julio Gallo wine and a teaser for Tom Synder's controversial Manson interview. Also includes a voice over introduction from Casey Kasem! You won't find a better quality copy of this one.

DAWN: PORTRAIT OF A TEENAGE RUNAWAY 1976 [B-] Eve Plumb (Jan of The Brady Brady) tried to breakaway from her sqeaky clean image by portraying an underage prostitute on Hollywood Blvd in this campy TV movie classic.
